Sweet lemon tree
Citrus limetta
The Sweet lemon tree may be found growing in tropical and subtropical
climates.
Originated in the Mediterranean region and came to California
from Mexico.
The thin rind
is rich with aromatic oils, and the juicy flesh has minimal seeds and
is nearly acid-less. The flavor is extremely mild, with sweet floral
notes of lemongrass.
